Matteo Cairoli continues his journey in the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Endurance Cup championship in 2024. The driver from Como will form part of the Iron Lynx line-up, at the wheel of the Lamborghini Huracán GT3 Evo 2 for the very first time.
Matteo Cairoli will drive with Andrea Caldarelli and Mirko Bortolotti, as the driver from Pescara will also be his teammate in Lamborghini’s LMDh IMSA program. It will be Cairoli’s fifth participation in the Endurance series organized by SRO, and he will race in the PRO Class to obtain high-level results in the championship, which will actually see over 50 cars participate.
The GT World Challenge Endurance Europe will be the third seasonal duty for Cairoli since joining the Lamborghini Factory Driver team last winter; in fact, he will also race in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar in the LMDh class and in the European Le Mans Series in the LMP2 class, always defending Iron Lynx’s colors.
Matteo Cairoli
“It’s a pleasure for me to race again in the GT World Challenge Europe. This championship gave me so many emotions and even some satisfactions during the years. Together with Iron Lynx, I’m ready to fight for the top positions, even if our opponents will be tougher than ever. I’m really happy to continue racing with them and with two experienced and fast drivers, Andrea and Mirko. The goal will, of course, be to fight for the championship, even if it is my first time at the wheel of the Huracan GT3. I want to thank Iron Lynx for the trust they have in me, and I can’t wait to start the new season in Paul Ricard on April 7th”.
